Pakistan Honors Over 200 Nepali Students with Scholarships

Kathmandu : The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal honored more than 200 outstanding Nepali students during the 14th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Ceremony held  in Kathmandu .

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Abrar H. Hashmi, presented scholarships to deserving Higher Secondary School students from across Nepal, selected by their respective schools based on merit and financial need.

On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a special laptop award was presented to Prapti Lamsal of the Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus, Tribhuvan University, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance among this year’s scholarship recipients.

Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador Hashmi described the scholarship program as “a celebration of Nepal’s future” and encouraged students to develop skills in STEM, health sciences, innovation, diplomacy, financial literacy, and critical thinking.

The ambassador also highlighted Pakistan’s continued support for Nepal’s education sector through scholarships for school and university students, as well as institutional assistance in IT, sports, liberal arts, and STEM education.

Launched in 2013, the Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Program has supported thousands of Nepali students, making it one of the country’s most prominent foreign scholarship initiatives.
