Kathmandu: Russian President Vladimir Putin has reaffirmed Moscow’s commitment to further strengthening its mutually beneficial partnership with Indonesia, both bilaterally and through international organizations.
In a congratulatory message to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on the occasion of Indonesia’s Independence Day, Putin said relations between Russia and Indonesia were developing successfully, supported by productive contacts between the two leaders.
He said Moscow and Jakarta would continue constructive efforts to expand cooperation through bilateral channels as well as within BRICS, the Russia–ASEAN Dialogue and other international formats.
Putin expressed confidence that closer cooperation would serve the interests of both countries’ peoples and contribute to strengthening security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
The Russian president also praised Indonesia’s achievements in economic and social development, saying the country had earned considerable respect on the international stage.
Putin wished President Prabowo good health and success in his state duties, while extending wishes for happiness and prosperity to the Indonesian people.
He also said he looked forward to meeting President Prabowo in Vladivostok in early September.
