Kathmandu. The Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu celebrated Marka-e-Haq Day with national pride. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H. Hashmi hoisted the national flag at a ceremony in the presence of embassy officials, members of the Pakistani community, their families and friends of Pakistan.
A message sent by the President of Pakistan was read out at the event. In his message to the nation, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari said that Marka(e(Haq) has shown the world that Pakistan’s resistance is not a slogan. It depends on professional competence, tri(service coordination and the resolve of the people not to accept aggression. We salute our men and women in uniform and we bow our heads in respect of each and every martyr who laid down their lives to make this nation great.
The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, said, “Yum(e(Marka(e(Haq) is a day to bow in gratitude to Allah for His countless blessings upon us. Today, we commemorate Pakistan’s brave stand in adverse circumstances and the decisive defeat we inflicted on the enemy. The nation pays tribute to its martyrs, their families and the Ghazis who stood like a wall of steel to protect their homeland. The well-coordinated and coordinated response of our forces on land, sea, air and cyber domains established Pakistan as an invincible nation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said in his message that the events of the past year also remind us that lasting peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without addressing key issues (chief among them, a just resolution of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of its people). Pakistan is committed to regional peace and stability. We believe in resolving disputes through dialogue, diplomacy and justice and mutual respect.
Ambassador Hashmi, in his remarks, expressed his high regard for the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Armed Forces for their timely action to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty through Marka(e(Haq) and the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of the resilient people of Pakistan for their unity and determination to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said that Marka(e(Haq) symbolizes Pakistan’s resolve, national unity and steadfast commitment. When it comes to defending sovereignty in the face of aggression, there is no match for strength and resolve.
