Process to revive Hetauda Textile Industry, one among Govt’s three months progress

 Kathmandu,  The government has continued to implement its 100-point agenda for governance reform.

The government has made a remarkable progress in good governance, policy implementation, monitoring of development projects and legal defense, according to the fourth quarterly progress report of the FY 2025/026 made public today by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

During this period, a total of 21 meetings of the Council of Ministers were held and 384 decisions made while eight meetings of different committees under the Cabinet took 12 decisions.

Additionally, to make service delivery effective, office chiefs have been instructed to end irregularities and dillydallying through secretary level meetings.

In the period of three months (from mid-April to mid-July), financial progress in capital expenditure has been 68.26% while in recurrent expenditure the progress is 17.07%.

The Cabinet meeting on 2 July endorsed the ‘National Commitment’ prepared as per the point number 3 of the 100-point governance reform agenda, and three of the series of dialogue for governance reform have been held in Siraha, Udayapur and Solukhumbu.

Similarly, the Council of Ministers has endorsed ‘the sixth national plan on human rights’ and ‘the second national strategy on implementation of UN convention against corruption’.

Likewise, the ‘Government of Nepal (Division of Work) Rule, 2026’ has been brought to implementation and a high level discussion has been held with stakeholders win regard to implementation of action plan of the Asia/Pacific Group (APG) on Money Laundering.

Issuing the ‘Guidelines for running the zero pending file campaign, 2082 BS’, unified progress report has been required.

On development project front, on site monitoring of pride and big projects such as Kaligandaki Corridor and Narayanghat-Butwal road section have been made.

Comprehensive analysis of 578 sick contracts that have remained in limbo for long has been made and ways of solutions presented.

Process has been initiated to re-operate the Hetauda Textile Industry.

Circular has been sent to federal ministries as well as local levels to practice frugality in the government expenditure.

Of the 44,340 complaints received in the Hello Sarkar system, 32,067 concerns have been addressed while 49 application related to right to information have been responded with information.
