Qatar on Saturday temporarily suspended maritime transport in its territorial waters as Iran targeted US military bases across the Gulf, including Al Udeid base on the outskirts of Doha. “In the interest of public safety, the Ministry of Transport calls on all maritime transport vessels belonging to individuals and companies to temporarily suspend maritime navigation,” Qatar’s transport ministry said in a statement.
