Kathmandu – The Russian chapter of the International Anti-Fascist Federation has strongly and firmly condemned the remarks made by the Attorney General of the United States against the constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
In a press release, the Federation’s Russian chapter stated that such remarks constitute a clear violation of international law and represent a new attack against the sovereignty, self-determination, and dignity of the people of Venezuela. The Federation accused the United States of attempting to discredit a state and its head of state in order to politically interfere. It further alleged that the U.S. is seeking to criminalize the President through baseless and false propaganda, and that the shameful announcement of a $5 million bounty has clearly exposed the United States’ pettiness.
According to the statement from the Russian chapter of the Anti-Fascist Federation, the U.S. has maintained a constant campaign to discredit the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its leaders. This move, it said, is yet another attack on the sovereignty, self-determination, and dignity of the Venezuelan people, and it called on everyone to unite against it.
“We clearly condemn this new attack against Venezuela and warn that it is not an isolated incident but rather part of a long-standing imperialist strategy aimed at destabilizing a legitimate, independent, and sovereign government,” the statement read. “We are capable of confronting it with respect through a systematic, multidimensional international campaign,” it added as a warning.
The Venezuelan people have repeatedly expressed their support for their leaders, especially President Nicolás Maduro Moros. The results of the July 2024 presidential election and the parliamentary and municipal elections held in May and July 2025 serve as proof of this. All these elections were conducted as a full exercise of Venezuela’s direct, participatory, and protagonist democracy, whose transparency was confirmed by the presence of numerous international observers and monitors, the statement noted.
The Russian chapter of the International Anti-Fascist Federation also called upon social, political, revolutionary, anti-fascist, workers’, intellectual, and youth organizations—as well as the international community at large—to speak out firmly and without hesitation against U.S. fascism, and to raise their voices in solidarity with Venezuela, its people, and its President.
