Kathmandu — At present, the United States has announced a $50 million bounty against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, accusing him of serious crimes. This announcement has shocked the world. Caracas has called Washington’s message regarding President Maduro both pitiful and laughable.
The United States’ action against Nicolás Maduro — who has been re-elected for a third consecutive term — is also seen as a sign of feudal power. Washington’s refusal to recognize Maduro’s two electoral victories and its declaration of a $50 million reward for information leading to his arrest appear highly absurd.
Socialist leaders have described the accusations and bounty declared by the United States against the president of the sovereign nation of Venezuela as an example of a feudal mindset.
Venezuela has accused the U.S. of feeling threatened by its growing global influence and of resorting to various tricks, as it did in Ukraine. The United States seeks access to Venezuela’s minerals, petroleum, gold and various other sectors — but Venezuela has rejected such ambitions and continues to move forward.
Venezuela is calling for unity among socialist nations, those who believe in democracy, and those devoted to humanitarian values. In this context, Venezuela has issued a strong response, saying that even if the United States attempts unilateral interference, it will not be possible.
