Call by Journalists for Justice Nepal (JJN) for Global Peace Through Dialogue

Kathmandu : Expressing deep concern that ongoing wars and conflicts around the world are pushing humanity toward a global crisis, Journalists for Justice Nepal (JJN) has issued a strong appeal for peace.

JJN has urged the international community to immediately end ongoing conflicts and seek solutions through dialogue and negotiation.

In a statement jointly signed by JJN President Tikaram Khadka and General Secretary Baikuntha Prasad Bhandari, it is noted that ordinary civilians are the most affected by war. The statement condemns attacks on children, women, persons with disabilities, journalists, and unarmed civilians, calling them violations of humanitarian values and international norms, and emphasizes the need for peaceful solutions.

Highlighting that the role of the United Nations in maintaining global peace appears to be weakening in recent times, the organization has called on all nations to act responsibly to preserve its effectiveness. It also urged adherence to international law and respect for the principle of non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.

JJN has appealed to the global community to move forward based on humanitarian values, unity, mutual benefit, and shared interests, stressing that dialogue and cooperation must be chosen over the tragedies of war.
